چکیده

Introduction Neuroticism has societal, mental and physical health relevance, with an etiology involving genetic predisposition, psychological influence, their interaction. Objectives To understand whether the association between polygenic risk score for neuroticism (PRS-N) is moderated by affective well-being. Methods Data were derived from TwinssCan, a general population twin cohort (age range=15-35 years, 478 monozygotic twins). Self-report questionnaires used to measure well-being neuroticism. PRS-N was trained Genetics of Personality Consortium (GPC) United Kingdom Biobank (UKB). Multilevel mixed-effects models test baseline changes in Results Baseline wellbeing associated (β=-1.35, p<0.001). PRSs-N (lowest p-value: 0.008 GPC, 0.01 UKB). In interaction (PRS x wellbeing), GPC (β=0.38, p=0.04) UKB (β=0.81, p<0.001) had significant interactions. 0.03 0.3 Furthermore, (β =-0.66, change only (β=0.80, Conclusions Interaction risk, neuroticism, observed regarding baselines measures over time. Depending on analysis step, direction effect changed. Disclosure Interest None Declared

Dispositional mindfulness moderates the relation between neuroticism and depressive symptoms

Negative emotional reactivity as measured by neuroticism has been shown to be an important risk factor for the development of depressive symptoms. This study investigated whether the ability to be mindful can protect against the negative effects of this temperamental vulnerability. An English community sample of N = 144 individuals who had completed a neuroticism questionnaire six years previou...

Openness moderates the relationship between modern health worries and neuroticism

Modern health worries (MHW) has been reported to covary, albeit inconsistently, with measures tapping a tendency for emotional lability. We aim to address this inconsistency, in part, by investigating the moderating influence of openness on the previously reported correlation of MHW with neuroticism. One hundred and forty-three participants completed questionnaires assessing neuroticism, openne...

Neuroticism moderates the daily relation between stressors and memory failures.

The present investigation extends previous work on the relationship between daily stressors and memory failures in a naturalistic setting by examining whether this relationship varies across levels of neuroticism. A daily diary study of 333 older adults (mean age = 73.27 years, SD = 7.17) in the Veterans Affairs Normative Aging Study (see A. Spiro & R. Bossé, 2001, for additional information) w...

How affect regulation moderates the association between anxious attachment and neuroticism.

Correlations between anxious attachment and neuroticism (usually about .40 to .50) prompt questions about whether self-reported anxious attachment captures a key construct in attachment theory or if it reflects a more general personality trait instead. A college sample of late adolescents and young adults (N = 287) was used to show that questionnaire measures of neuroticism and anxious attachme...

Meta-analysis of Genome-wide Association Studies for Neuroticism, and the Polygenic Association WithMajor Depressive Disorder

OBJECTIVES To identify genetic variants associated with neuroticism by performing a meta-analysis of genome-wide association results based on 1000 Genomes imputation; to evaluate whether common genetic variants as assessed by single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) explain variation in neuroticism by estimating SNP-based heritability; and to examine whether SNPs that predict neuroticism also pre...
